Adult Ministries

J.O.Y. Ministry

Our Senior Adults get together through the J.O.Y. Ministry a number of times a year to celebrate seasonal events, take mini trips, bring in speakers and generally fellowship together.  J.O.Y. stands for “Just Older Youth.”  This ministry is led by Ed and Bev Greene.

Men’s Ministry Breakfast

Our Men’s Ministry is back in action and meets monthly with Saturday breakfast in the fellowship hall of our church.  Each breakfast will take place the last Saturday morning of every month (subject to change) at 8 am.  If you have any interest in joining this breakfast, we encourage you to come and bring a friend.  Cost is on a donation only basis.

Adult Bible Study

Bible Study is the gathering ministry of the church with most classes meeting on Sunday mornings at 8:45.   This ministry allows people to become an active part of the Gateway Fellowship family by being involved in a small group.  Through Bible Study, members make friends with others in the church body.  Small group Bible study is where adults grow and lean on each other during the highs and lows of life.

Motorcycle Ministry (Gateway Good News Riders)

The Gateway Good News Riders  is one of the newer additions to Gateway’s family activities.
Those who love to ride the open roads get together to travel around the state on day trips and have even made a couple of three day trips to explore other parts of this great country.  As they go, they share the love of Christ with those they meet along the way.  In general they have a ride each month. See the calendar page for upcoming rides.

Fred Thorn is the contact person for this ministry.  Contact him at 480-395-1904.

Peace by Piece Quilting Ministry

We invite you to join us as we make quilts for two local charities and our Gateway church families. Experienced sewers and quilters are encouraged to join us. However, no sewing experience is necessary–you may help cut fabric, put kits together, layer kits for sewing or press quilt tops. We use donated fabric and request donations from church members and others as fabric is needed. You may bring your own sewing, knitting, crochet or other projects to work on in our comfortable social setting. The group meets from 9 a.m. until noon or later, the second and fourth Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. Each participant usually brings a sack lunch if she/he plans to stay and work in the afternoon. For more information you may contact Carolyn Jenkins at 480-892-1011.
